The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10, which is also known as the DMC-ZS7, is Panasonic’s flagship travel-zoom digital camera coming with a 14.5-megapixel camera sensor and a 12x optical zoom lens. It’s packed full of features which are sure to impress and also features HD video recording at 720p, which is an added bonus.
Handling and design
The Panasonic compact digital camera is well made and comes with an all-metal body which gives the device a solid feel. The controls are well laid out and the DMC-TZ10 also features a nifty handgrip which makes the compact digital camera comfortable to use when shooting. The front of the camera is dominated by its powerful lens, while on the back of the camera we find the device’s 3-inch LCD screen and other controls. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 also looks good and is available in either blue, black, silver or red.

Good features
When it comes to features, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 is fitted with a 14.5 megapixel CCD camera sensor and a 12x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 25-300mm, 35mm equivalent. Panasonic has also fitted Panasonic’s now renowned Intelligent Auto mode, Intelligent Exposure, Face Recognition and even a Baby mode for taking images of younger children. The DMC-TZ10 also comes with Intelligent Resolution and a built-in GPS device for geotagging images.
Images are processed by the device’s Venus Engine VI processor and blurry images are kept at bay with the POWER O.I.S. anti-shake system. The DMC-TZ10 also records video in HD at 720p and saves captured video to H.264 format. The DMC-TZ10 also doesn’t come with a viewfinder and images are framed and reviewed with the device’s 3-inch LCD screen.
Good image quality
Images taken by the Panasonic digital camera are of very good quality. Noise is kept under control up to ISO 800, while colour produced is vivid and natural. The built-in flash works like a charm in low light conditions, with no red-eye effect. Good images are also taken at night, with images being well exposed. The Macro mode performance is superb, allowing users to focus from as close as 3cm, while images also come out relatively sharp whether shooting at maximum wide-angle or telephoto.

The Panasonic DMC-TZ10 provides some good value for money due to the really good images which the device captures. It surely the king of the travel-zoom camera market and anyone looking for a good and reliable digital camera should take a look at this Panasonic compact digital camera.
