The ultimate travel companion, the PowerShot SX230 HS has loads of innovative features, the most important of which is the GPS for geotagging so you will never forget where those memorable moments happened.

The anywhere, anytime compact

Shooting in low light is no longer a problem for the SX230 HS. It’s equipped with a 12-megapixel HS System combined with Canon’s fast DIGIC 4 processor. Boasting a massive 14x optical zoom, this little traveller will enable you to hone in on even the furthest scenery and still capture a blur-free image with the help of image stabilising technology. The 28mm wide-angle will also allow you to shoot stunning panoramic shots of the great wide outdoors.

All these images can be geotagged with the exact information on where and when they were taken and, with the help of supplied software, you can view your entire journey on a map.

Fun features

Full HD video can be recorded in 1080p with stereo sound and viewed on the 3-inch LCD screen which has a tempered glass layer for durability. The impressive Optical Zoom can be used for HD recording and with the help of the Dynamic Image Stabiliser, footage will appear blur- and shake-free.

Over 30 different shooting scenes can be detected with the Smart Auto Mode which will then choose the appropriate settings for the best exposure, taking all the decisions out of your hands. A high-speed burst is available for you to catch that fast paced action and you can slow it right down with the Super Slow Motion Movie Mode.

You can also document your entire days shooting with the Movie Digest Mode which will take a video clip of up to four seconds before the actual image is taken and then join all the clips together to form a VGA video of your day’s expeditions. They can then be exported and shared easily in the iFrame format.

The PowerShot SX230 HS is the perfect compact camera to take with you wherever you go and the optional waterproof casing will also let you submerge the camera for fun underwater shots, making it the perfect anywhere, anytime camera.
