The Canon PowerShot A series has become synonymous with slim and lightweight designs, making it the perfect camera to keep with you at all times. With loads of easy auto modes the Canon PowerShot A2200 makes taking great photos anytime a simple and stylish affair.

Great specs

A step up from the A1200, this little package boasts a big sensor; with 14.1 megapixels to play with, the A2200’s chip has a high enough resolution to capture every detail for great enlargements.

The 28mm 4x optical zoom is not only perfect for shooting great wide-angles for impressive landscapes but works well in confined spaces too. All images and video can be played back on the super sharp 2.7-inch LCD screen on which the brightness can also be adjusted for better viewing in bright lighting conditions.

The A2200 also takes sharp and noise-free images in low light conditions with Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor. This processor is also responsible for the camera’s great colour reproduction and high image quality. The Li-ion battery also makes for easy rechargability.

Fun features

A Tips and Hints feature will guide you through what the camera can do but if all you would like to do is simply press a button for the perfect exposure, the Smart Auto Mode is for you. This mode can detect up to 32 different scenes and then choose the correct setting for the right exposure. The Easy Mode will also prevent you from accidentally changing settings while you are shooting.

HD video recording is available at 720p and the Miniature Effect will make all scenes appear like scale models. For those who want to avoid blur in their images the Blur Reduction Mode can be used in low light to reduce the effects of camera shake.

Face Detection Technology will detect up to 35 faces in a scene and make sure that each is in focus and has enough light, and with the A1200 red-eye can be corrected automatically in-camera.

This little camera offers a fun and creative way to take superb photographs.
