Casio recently released a double whammy of cameras with the Casio Exilim EX-H5 and Casio Exilim FH 25, which both sport high zoom lenses of 10x optical zoom and 20x optical zoom respectively. We’ll be looking at the EX-H5, which is the smaller and more basic camera of the two, making it perfect for use as a family camera, or for any beginner photographer.

Features

The Casio Exilim EX-H5 comes with a 12.1 megapixel high sensitivity CMOS sensor and a 24 mm wide-angle lens with 10x optical zoom 24mm lens which makes it a very handy camera to shoot a wide variety of shots the more common photographer would want to take. Casio have also fitted compact digital camera with image stabilisation and lots of different modes make it the perfect companion during a weekend adventure or while having a good time anywhere.

Strong image processing engine

In helping the Casio Exilim EX-H5 produce high quality images with good colour, the EX-H5 has been fitted with the Exilim Engin3 5.0 image processing chip which makes colours pop and at the same time keeps troublesome noise at bay. The processing engine also allows for easy editing in the future, improves shutter speed and increases the number of frames per second captured by the Exilim EX-H5. This comes in handy particularly when the compact digital is used in Movie mode, where it can capture HD video at 720p. The Exilim also comes with a 2.7 TFT colour screen allowing for clear and accurate framing of shots.

The Casio Exilim EX-H5 is a compact digital camera which won’t stand out from the crowd, but at the same time it shouldn’t disappoint when it comes to performance. The Casio digital camera is currently retailing at €199 (just over £168), making it a very competitive and viable compact digital camera for anyone currently looking for a digital camera which they can take everywhere.
