It seems that Leica aren’t the only ones trying to revive 35mm film, with Fuji looking to release a limited edition of the Fuji Natura Classic White. The Fujifilm camera will definitely be for the classic enthusiast photographer, and given that film camera’s have become a slight rarity these days, the Fujifilm camera is not particularly budget friendly and its limited edition status doesn’t help the cause.
Classic photography
Natura cameras have had their own quiet fan club for a while now, and going digital seems to be all the craze these days. The Natura series offers all the convenience of digital photography and more with ‘quiet operation, sharp lens and large aperture’. Some people may also complain that it takes too long to reproduce the final result of images produced by film cameras, but that’s exactly why only enthusiasts can appreciate the Fujifilm Natura series.
Features
Fuji has packed the Fujifilm Natura Classic White with features like a F2.8 lens with a bright wide angle 28-56mm lens capable of 2x optical zoom. Exposure Compensation has also been added to the Fujifilm camera, allowing for exposure to be manually controlled when used together with the exposure shooting function which also allows for the camera’s flash to be turned off. Fuji have also taken a few cues from digital photography such as the Natura Classic White’s LCD screen which allows the photographer to frame their images in a more convenient manner.

The Fujifilm Natura Classic White film camera is definitely only for the enthusiasts and coming with an expected price tag of above $600 (just under £413) it’s also not a budget camera. It’s expected to be made available in June 2010 and with pre-orders reportedly already snapping up the few 3000 cameras it will definitely sell out fast.
