The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX75 is the latest offering in Panasonic’s Lumix range. It looks good and is also capable of shooting equally good looking photos and shooting in full HD. Panasonic have fitted the Lumix DMC-FX75 with a 24mm super wide lens extending the photographic capabilities of the camera when compared to other comparable compact digital cameras like the Samsung TL500.

Panasonic have fitted the Lumix DMC-FX75 with a 14.1 megapixel 1/2.33-inch RGB CCD image sensor together with a F2.2, 24mm lens with 5x optical zoom, which should allow any photographer to shoot almost anything in a flash. The combination of the sensor and the lens also adds a whole lot of value to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX75, which isn’t being touted by Panasonic to the full extent of the features it has. It’s also capable of HD video capture in AVCHD Lite at 720p, and for those who may prefer viewing their videos captured on the FX75 on their computer, the compact digital camera also shoots in Motion JPEG, WVGA at 848×480 resolution and VGA 640×480 resolution.

A cool touch screen

Looking at how the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX75 handles, Panasonic have made the stylish digital camera to be touch-friendly including a 3.0-inch 230,000-dot LCD touch screen. However, touch screens aren’t everyone’s cup of tea and given that they do require constant cleaning, it will interesting to see if Panasonic should’ve kept to the tried and trusted normal LCD display. The touch screen does have come with some interesting functions like pressing the display once to activate the camera’s Auto Focus mode. The touch screens other functions also operate smoothly adding to the experience of using the P digital camera. The Panasonic digital camera is also powered by the Venus Engine HD II which promises superior image processing quality and is also environmentally friendly, preserving battery life.
