The Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR is an upgrade from the F70EXR, and comes with an incredible number of features when compared to other cameras in the same price range. The F80EXR comes with a 12-megapixel camera sensor and a 10x optical zoom lens and also offers some dynamic features which are sure to impress.
Handling and design
The Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR is a well built and visually appealing digital camera which is rather tricky to handle at times with the camera’s tiny handgrip. Even though the Fujifilm digital camera is made of plastic all over, the digital camera is well constructed and feels surprisingly solid in hand.
The F80EXR also comes with only 10 exterior controls, keeping things simple and easy to use. On the front of the camera we only find the camera’s lens and built-in flash, while on the back of the camera we find a 3-inch LCD screen next to the camera’s navigation pad and other controls. The Fujifilm compact digital camera is, overall, a joy to use, but those with larger hands may struggle with it a bit.

Lots of features
The Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR is feature packed, coming with a 12-megapixel Super CCD EXR sensor coupled with a 10x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 27-270mm, 35mm equivalent. The EXR camera sensor also comes with three different modes, which turns the Fujifilm digital camera into a three-in-one digital camera. The Fujifilm digital camera also comes with no viewfinder, and images are framed and reviewed using the camera’s rather large 3-inch LCD screen. In keeping image shake free and stable, the F80EXR also comes with a CCD-shift dual image stabilisation system. The Fujifilm compact digital camera also comes with an AF mode, Face Detection technology, a Super Intelligent Flash mode, Pro Focus mode, Pro Low Light mode and HD movie capture at 720p.
Good quality images
The FinePix camera produces images of good quality, with natural colour and the images being generally well exposed. When the camera’s sensor is set to High ISO & Low Noise, the Fujifilm digital camera produces images with less noise, even though the image pixel size falls slightly to 6 megapixels. When the camera sensor is set to D-Range Priority mode, the images produced by the F80EXR come out with more of a dynamic range of colours. The digital camera also performs well indoors and in low light conditions with its built-in flash. However, the F80EXR’s Macro mode performance is average and not that exciting.

The Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR comes with a lot more features than its similarly priced counterparts. However, the F80EXR does provide worse images than its predecessor, the F70EXR. Given that it is basically three cameras in one due to its different camera sensor modes, the Fujifilm digital camera provides a lot of value of money.
