Camcorder have come a long way since they were released for general consumers back in 1986 . We are no longer restricted to carrying large bulky equipment around with us. The latest generation of mini camcorders all record on to hard drives or SD memory cards, meaning longer battery life and a longer recording time. The newer generation on camcorders also record in high definition and some are so small they can fit nicely into our pockets.
Cheap camcorders are easy enough to come by, but by compromising on price one will loose out on quality. Ok so there is no need to go out an buy a top of the range professional camcorder, but anything under £100 it will just result in disappointment, you’d be better off using a 2megapixle camera phone.
