                Getting even skin tones in Photoshop

                  There is hardly ever an image of people in magazines that hasn’t been airbrushed. Skin tones get altered, blemishes removed and lumps and bumps smoothed out. Many models and celebrities end up looking nothing like their authentic selves after retouches are done and numerous advocacy agencies for eating disorders believe that this practice is one of the main causes of anorexia and bulimia. While you don’t want to go this far, being able to even out skin tones and blemishes in Photoshop is a skill every photographer needs to have. (more…)


                  Nikon release firmware update for new 1-mount lenses

                    Nikon appear to have has some issues with the recently released 1-mount zoom lenses made especially for the much anticipated 1 Nikon range of interchangeable lens cameras. In order to address these issues Nikon has release a firmware update for their zoom 1-mount lenses. The lenses showed issues with the VR system and images became blurred after big movements of the lens. This will be corrected with the update and two of the lenses showed the incorrect aperture when changed and this will also be corrected. (more…)
